Get Rid of Diabetes Type 2
If you've gotten the news, we've got some better, you can get of diabetes type 2 . Nearly eight months ago, I went to my doctor for a blood pressure check. I've been having some great difficulty with my BP and wanted to make sure I get it under control. I was avoiding my visit, as I knew whatever was ailing me had everything to do with my recent weight gain. Over the course of a year, I had seen my weight move from 200 all the way to 254! Never before had I come anywhere toward tipping the scales at the amount. I was shocked when I found out that weight was not the biggest contributor to diabetes
So there I sat on the examination table waiting for my doctor to enter, and she did. I absolutely adore my doc, she's friendly, but gets to the point. She has an admirable ability to scold without the pain that usually accompanies the verbal discipline, but I always come out thinking she really knows how to pack a punch. What she told me was that my blood pressure was actually moving in the right place, but we had a new problem, my blood work was showing I was pre-diabetes.
My heart sank. I had watched several family members die as a result of diabetes. I also thought about the other family members who live with partial limbs and weekly trips to dialysis. Not a life I wanted, and I was determine to get back on track. After listening to my doctor discuss her plan of action, I thought about some information I recently read about reversing Type II and pre-diabetes.
I wasn't really sure about the information, I mean could I really dodge the horrible medical bullet facing my way. So I grabbed a copy copy of stopping diabetes, and read through, taking notes. Nothing odd, just great advice, reminders, and some tips and tricks that made a world of difference. I cheated on some days, but easily avoided continuous breaks by thinking about the consequences of becoming a diabetic.
Of course much of what we do to get rid of diabetes and keep it away, was about taking care of myself. So , I pulled out my journal and began setting goals. I committed to a 1350 calorie day, mandatory greens everyday. I prepared my snacks, not that this is a plug, but Metamucil (TM) , is fantastic, and walked at least 10 minutes of exercising. The key is knowing what you need to do, and you can, just like I did, stop diabetes in its tracks!
